Get ready for your summer!
Camps Bowman, Marriott, and Olmsted and Lenhok’sin High Adventure will be accepting pre-camp swim checks. Units have the option to do their swim checks at another facility before they arrive at camp instead of as part of the check-in process. Pre-camp swim checks must be administered by approved certified individuals (listed on the form) and must be submitted with the Goshen form. Camp Ross will continue to do swim checks during a Pack’s first program block at Aquatics.
Swim checks are only required for those who wish to take part in most Aquatics activities. Participants that opt not to take the test can still wade and splash in the Learner’s area at all camps and participate in Instructional Swim at the Scouts BSA camps.
You can find a copy of this form on the Forms and Downloads page (under Information) as well as in the Downloads section of your camp’s page.
National Capital Area Council’s Aquatics Committee offers pre-camp swim tests annually. Learn more about their events and trainings at www.ncacbsa.org/aquatics-committee
