Quick Facts
Leaders Required
All units must provide adult leadership at camp, unless the youth(s) attending are Provisional Scouts or Provisional Venturers. There is no provisional program for Webelos Resident Camp. If a contingent is only a parent/child combination, that is acceptable.
Who Registers?
Only one person, the Unit Registrar, should manage the registration, enter information, and make payments on behalf of the unit. (Parents should contact their unit registrar to register their youth to go to camp.)
Password?
There are two options for creating a registration: make an account or continue as a guest. Regardless, you’ll still be able to access your registration. Need to get back into your registration?
Reserve Your Spot
To reserve your unit’s spot, the unit registrar needs to make a registration and pay the $200 non-refundable unit deposit. The unit deposit is not required for Provisional Camp or Phoenix Nest campers.
The number of spaces held will be based off the Estimated Youth and Adults fields you fill out in the Registration Contact’s information.
All Goshen camps will be in deposit mode until late November.
Unit Deposits
Units who are sending multiple groups to GSR camps will only need to make one non-refundable unit deposit (e.g. a Troop sending one group to Olmsted and one group to Lenhok’sin or a Pack sending groups two different weeks). This is a manual discount, so please contact us for more information if you are considering sending multiple groups to GSR.
Adding Campers
Units will be able to add campers beginning in late November.
Add campers to your roster only when you are ready to pay for them. The registrar does not need to know exactly how many people are coming to reserve space at camp. Additional attendees can be added to your registration as youth and adults commit.

Camperships
If you plan on applying for a campership for a youth, please DO NOT pay for them right away. Voucher codes will be sent out after camperships are awarded.

Choose your campsite?
When you register your unit, you may list any campsite preferences. We’ll take those into account when placing your unit in your campsite for the week!
Registering a New Troop
New Troops can go ahead and sign up for camp, even if they don’t have an official Troop number yet. Use the National Capital Area Council Troop 1 (Girl Troop Placeholder Unit) to register. We’ll use the unique registration number and your email address to identify your registration. Once you get your official Troop charter, let us know and we’ll help you change it on your registration.
Credit Card Service Charge
Due to a change in policy in our Council, there is now a service charge for credit cards when registering for camp and other events. There is no service charge for e-checks.

Adult Requirements
General
At any time, a Unit must have two adults over the age of 21 who are registered with the BSA. If there are female youth members, one of those adults must be female.
Scouts BSA & High Adventure Camps
All adults, ages 18+, staying overnight must be currently registered as an adult volunteer or an adult program participant. Registration as a merit badge counselor position does not meet this requirement. Refer to the Guide to Safe Scouting for a list of approved adult registration fee required positions.
Camp Ross
We require a 1:4 adult to Webelos/AOLs with a minimum of 2 adults per unit. To give all Webelos & AOLs the best program, please avoid a direct 1:1 adult to youth ratio. Adults splitting the week are welcome!
At least of these two adults must be registered leaders, as described in the previous section. All other adults, if they are parent/guardians attending with their child, are not required to register as leaders, but must be accompanied by a registered leader any time they are with youth members other than their own child. Phoenix Nest adults must be registered leaders.
At least one leader (we recommend more) must be BALOO trained.
Free Adults
Some adults attend free! The more youth who attend with your unit, the more free adults you receive.
- 1-10 Youth: 1 Free Adult
- 11-20 Youth: 2 Free Adults total
- 21-30 Youth: 3 Free Adults total
- And so on…
Splitting Adults
If you have adults that are splitting the week (one comes down for the first half and the other comes down for the second half), register them as one full adult.
Forms
Everyone in camp must have Parts A & B of the BSA Medical Form. Any youth or adult camper staying for more than 72 hours and/or participating in camp activities must also have Part C and the NCAC Health Advisory.

Family Scouting FAQ
Information for Boy Troops, Girl Troops, and Family Packs
Which weeks can we attend?
All weeks are open to all campers, male and female.
Can linked units share a registration?
aka Can Scouts BSA girl troops be combined with Scouts BSA boy troops into a “camp unit”?
No. Per the Outdoor Programs Department at BSA National, a boy troop and a girl troop must have separate camp registrations and separate leaders. The good news is, with each registration, you do get additional free leaders.
The exception to this rule is for any troops that are formally participating in the National Pilot Program for combined troops. These troops are already one troop and may attend camp as such.
Can linked units share a campsite?
Yes. Our camp layout and amenities allows units to share a campsite while meeting privacy and separate accommodations as described in Youth Protection Training.
Be sure to list that you want to share a site in the Site Preference field in your Registration Contact information in your registration.
Can linked units be on the same Lenhok’sin crew?
Yes, if they following requirements are met: there must be a minimum of two adults and two youth from each troops. That is two adults and two from the girl troop and two adults and two youth from the boy troop. Otherwise, the boy troop and the girl troop would need to form separate crews.
If all the members are registered in a Venturing Crew or the Scouts BSA Troop is formally participating in the National Pilot Program for combined Troops, then the members can attend as a single Crew or Troop, rather than as two Troops.
Can a parent bring their daughter to camp with their son’s troop or their son to camp with their daughter’s troop?
No. According to the Outdoor Programs Department at BSA National, program integrity requires single gender units. The scout may attend as a provisional camper and take part in a provisional girl troop or boy troop, as applicable.
What if we don’t have enough leaders?
Sign up for Camp Marriott! If your unit is small and you just aren’t able to find that last leader that you need to be able to bring everyone, be part of one of our Provisional Troops for the week.
What are the amenities like?
Each resident camp has a showerhouse with individual shower rooms and four bathrooms. Each campsite has a latrine with two individual stalls.
I’m in a Family Pack. We are Webelos, not Scouts BSA.
Unlike Scouts BSA Troops, Cub Scout Family Packs have both male and female youth in the same Pack. The BSA policies for camp about separate units only apply to Scouts BSA Troops, not to Cub Scout Packs or Venturing Crews.
Schedule & Availability
Availability indicates if new units are able to register for a specific week of camp. If your unit has already reserved a week at camp then your Goshen coordinator will be able to add campers as space allows.

Important Dates
2024 Refund Policy
If the unit cancels, the deposit payment (the cost of one Scout) may be saved as credit for the unit OR a refund may be requested.
If an individual cancels, a replacement scout may be found, the cost may be saved as credit for the unit, OR a refund may be requested.
Refund Requests
- On or before May 15th: A refund or a unit registration credit of 90% of registration costs will be granted for any reason by request through our Refund Request online form. Only requests from unit leaders will be honored (parents, please work through your unit receive a refund).
- Between May 16th and July 31st: A maximum refund or unit registration credit of 50% of registration costs will be granted for any reason by request through our Refund Request online form or via the At Camp Reconciliation meeting with your Camp Director during your week at camp. Only requests from unit leaders will be honored (parents, please work through your unit leadership to receive a refund).
- Please note that refund requests for Medical Reasons, Bereavement, and Job Transfer will result in approvals of 80%.
- After July 31st, 2024: No further refunds or rollover unit registration credits can be requested.
All unit registration credits are valid only for the 2024 and 2025 Summer Camp seasons and will expire on August 31, 2025.
All refund requests will be subject to final review before refunds are issued. Units can request their refunds be returned to a) the original online payment method where possible (if not possible, a paper check will be issued to the unit) or b) to their Unit Council Account at NCAC for recharter and membership fees.
All refund transactions will be completed prior to September 30th.
Camperships
Each summer, funds from the Greg Augustine Campership Fund are made available to help campers be able to attend a week of summer camp and have meaningful experiences.
The Campership Committee will convene and make award designations. Requests received after the due date will only be considered if funds are still available.
If you plan on applying for a campership for a youth, please DO NOT pay for them right away. Please do not pay for the camper until you have received a response from the Campership Committee. Camper aid will not be awarded or refunded to registrants who have secured funding from other sources and have already made a payment online. Be sure to notify your Goshen unit registrar that you plan on applying for a campership for your youth.
Voucher codes will be sent out after camperships are awarded.
